Ag Lions traveled to Sacramento to attend California Ag Day, held on the west steps of the State Capitol. The event featured Agricultural organizations, showcased the importance of Agriculture in society, and brought together government officials and industry leaders to promote and celebrate our states leading industry.
Our students also had the opportunity to meet the current Secretary of Agriculture, Karen Ross, as well as Assemblywoman Janet Nguyen, Assemblywoman Laurie Davies, and Assemblyman Thomas Umberg, all of whom were impressed by our students professionalism and poise. In addition to being a part of this pretty exciting event, they got to tour the Capitol building, see where our representatives work, and visit Old Sacramento.
